The Mallard is the second issue in the Living With Nature: Jerner’s Ducks collector’s plate series by wildlife artist Bart Jerner. Issued under the auspices of the Wildlife Society by the Edwin M. Knowles China Company.
Bart Jerner is first and foremost a man of the outdoors. An accomplished fisherman and sports man, he has spent nearly every summer of the past forty years hiking across the densely timbered northern regions of Upper Michigan, the grassy meadows and wetlands of central Canada, and most recently the mountainous frontier of the Canadian Yukon.
Mr. Jerner’s talent has won him a a growing following in wildlife art circles. His work has already been exhibited by the National Wildlife Art collector’s Society for two consecutive years, and several of his sculptures (another of the artistic media he has mastered) are on permanent display at The Wild Gallery in Dallas and Taylor’s Gallery of Western Art in Sante Fe.
