Collectable Plates

Collectable Plates are generally issued as a series of plates in a particular theme. Much like reproduction artwork, a master craftsman creates a design that is then transferred to a porcelein plate either mechanically or by hand, numbered and sold to collectors.

As with any work of art, the value of a Collectable Plate is dependant on the reputation of the master craftsman, the quality of the reproduction, the number of plates issued and the issue date of the collection,
